Event description

Description

This event brings together the ambitions of LBG Banking Group, WIBF and Digital Leaders. The event will combine DL’s theme of building the nation’s Digital DNA, WIBF’s solution-oriented approach and LBG’s combined commitments to Digital Transformation and increasing the number of women in senior roles to 40% by 2020. The UK still has a lot of work to do as recent research revealed only 17% of employees in the UK tech sector are women.

This is an opportunity to re-examine the ‘leadership capabilities’ we’ll need for this world of transformation. This is an opportunity for future leadership to become more diverse, as well as more digitally-enabled & agile, but are we asking ourselves the right questions?

We will be discussing:
  • With a focus on women, we want to inspire colleagues to create a truly digital environment, and ultimately a digital nation.
  • Are we at risk of being exclusively inclusive? How can we recognise and prevent this?
  • Identifying core solutions and actions for our networks and each of us as individuals to take forward to ensure women are at the forefront of digital transformation
  • Transferring the understanding of key changes impacting digital leadership capability within banking and finance, with a focus on agile methodologies and how this can be an opportunity to unlock more diversity at senior levels
  • Empowering all attendees to take an active role in the digital world we now live in, and we recognise that a key enabler of this is helping them to discover how they have a part to play.
