Event description

Description

Travel back to the time of 17th century tavern life and experience what life was like in the bustling merchant and Puritan community of Salem, Massachusetts. Learn how tavern life influenced the political and social fabric of Salem during the time of the witch trials, and learn more about the merchant capital of the Colonies. Please note that this is not a pub crawl. 1637 Tavern Tours is a historical walking tour of the sites of where the famous taverns once stood.

The mile-long walking tour will provide you with a complete overview of Salem’s most infamous taverns, including the Blue Anchor Tavern, where the initial examinations of “the accused” began during the witch trials of 1692.

Included in tour admission are two (2) drink vouchers to be used at O'Neil's Pub, the official ordinary of 1637 Historic Tavern Tours.
