We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in a remarkable gathering of Celebrities and Dignitaries at the 15th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. This years event will be held at the Knollwood Country Club in Granada Hills, California.
Last year our golf tournament and reception attracted attendees from all over California and well beyond, representing business owners, legislators, and professionals at the local, state, national, and even international levels. Throughout the tournament, you will have the opportunity to network, form business partnerships and enjoy community collaborations.
Most importantly our Celebrity Golf Tournament was organized to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia.
You can view additional celebrity photos on our facebook page.
More About Alzheimers:
It is estimated that as many as 5.4 million people in the U.S. have Alzheimer’s disease. This number is expected to grow over the next 50 years as the population ages and life span increases. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia. It is a progressive and degenerative disease, which means that it gets worse over time.
When someone has Alzheimer’s disease, nerve cells die in areas of the brain that are vital to memory and other mental abilities, and connections between nerve cells are disrupted. There are also lower levels of some of the chemicals in the brain that carry messages back and forth between nerve cells. This affects memory, judgment, and thinking, which in turn may hinder a person’s ability to handle day-to-day activities.
We are working hard at the Southern California Black Chamber of Commerce to be at the forefront of professional leadership development and training concerning this disease. Help us support the cause by enjoying a day of golf, entertainment and fundraising today.
