Event description
FR. GREG BOYLE, FOUNDER OF HOMEBOY INDUSTRIES AND AUTHOR, SHARES WIT AND WISDOM ON WHAT MATTERS: COMPASSION AND INCLUSION. FREE, ZOOM

About this event

The past year brought disconnectedness . The humbly famous Fr. Greg Boyle draws us back together and closer to our true nature as compassionate, inclusive, beloved beings with wit, wisdom and powerful, healing storytelling.

FROM ISOLATION, INDIFFERENCE, AND INJUSTICE TO EXTRAVAGANT TENDERNESS, KINSHIP AND COMMUNITY

Fr. Greg is the founder of Homeboy Industries (the world's largest gang rehab and community re-entry program) and a two-time New York Times best-selling author who has a third book on the way: The Whole Language: The Power of Extravagant Tenderness. His work with those who are often seen as "the other" tells us something about hope and how to be for "one another" right now in this transitional, transformational time.

FROM THE BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE

Participate in this Zoom event from the best seat in your house, your house of worship, your spiritual home, or wherever you and the Internet go together. It will make you laugh, make you misty, and definitely call you to consider what matters most. As Fr. Greg says, "Only kinship. Inching ourselves closer to creating a community of kinship such that God might recognize it. Soon we imagine, with God, this circle of compassion. Then we imagine no one standing outside of that circle. . ."
