Event description
We hope you'll join us as we celebrate EduNations' 15-year anniversary at Babeville, Asbury Hall on Thursday, June 27, 2019!

About this Event

The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a presentation of our ongoing work to ignite hope in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

Our featured speaker is Samuel Sesay, President of EduNations. Samuel was born and raised in Sierra Leone, West Africa. He has a bachelor's degree with honors in French, English and Linguistics, a postgraduate diploma in Education, and a master's degree in Peace and Development Studies. Working with other nonprofit organizations and businesses previous to EduNations, Samuel has ample experience in development work and is committed to helping his neighbors in Sierra Leone rise out of poverty. Samuel lives in the capital city of Freetown with his wife, Catherine, and his three daughters, Samuella, Samrine, and Sally.

Motivated by compassion for “the least of these”, EduNations serves to ignite hope by providing free, quality education to students in some of the most under-resourced and difficult-to-reach villages in Sierra Leone. Our schools function as the foundation for their communities’ development by providing clean water, latrines, health education and medical clinics, AIDS prevention, vocational training, and other forms of community empowerment. By partnering with indigenous leaders and organizations, we can empower those in the most underserved communities in Sierra Leone to create hopeful futures for themselves.
