15-min guided mindfulness practices, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 12:30 pm to 12:45 pm (PT). Starting Mon, Oct 5, ending Thu, Oct 29

About this Event

These are short and sweet 15-minute sessions that can help you feel calmer, refreshed, and ready for a more productive and satisfying afternoon, in addition to exposing you to a variety of mindfulness practices, broadening and deepening your journey, and helping you reap the longer term benefits of mindfulness. The typical format includes a mindfulness practice for about 10 minutes followed by reflections and sharing exercises.

Your guides

Jakey Toor (Tuesdays)

After working with the public sector for 7 years, successfully teaching dance to thousands of San Francisco Unified’s most underserved children, and earning the prestigious Dream Catcher Award in 2012, for inspiring San Francisco’s youth, she founded Artists In The Classroom, a company devoted to cultivating conscious leadership, community, and wellness within organizations. In 2019, Jakey certified with Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI) — a non-profit born at Google, devoted to making mindfulness and emotional intelligence practical and accessible.

Jakey is also a member of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO), the California Dance Education Organization (CDEA), a San Francisco Community Boards certified mediator, an alumni of the Strozzi Institute, and Pachamama Alliance, and an active participant in the Wisdom 2.0 community. She has also worked as a professional dancer with Cuicacalli Dance Company, a multidisciplinary dance company that fuses various styles of dance into their own unique blend of movement, spoken word, and social commentary, honoring the rich history & heritage of the San Francisco’s Mission District.

In her free time, Jakey enjoys walking, hiking, writing, and taking photographs.
