Event Details

Join us for a day of golfing, contests, raffles, a silent auction, and dinner at Helpline Youth Counseling, Inc's (HYC) 14th Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda, CA.

Individual tickets include one round of golf with a cart rental, on-course contests, a gift package, dinner, and access to our silent auction.

We also have a variety of sponsorship and advertisement opportunities available. All proceeds go directly towards our programs for youth and families, including our therapeutic, educational, recreational, cultural, and family service programs. Thank you for your consideration and helping us continue to put children, youth and families on track to a bright future. 

 

FAQs

What is the dress code?

If you will be golfing, you must wear a collared shirt, blouse with collar or sleeves. Bermuda length shorts are permitted. Denim, t-shirts, athletic shorts, and cut-off pants are prohibited. Alternative Spikes are required.

What are my parking options at the event?

Black Gold Golf Club offers plenty of free public parking spaces.

What is the refund policy?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds at this time. However, with enough notice, we would be happy to work with you and might be able to offer a credit for next year's golf tournament. If weather does not permit the event to take place on the day it is originally planned for, then we will work with Black Gold Golf Club to reschedule for another date.

What is the deadline to register?

The deadline to purchase a golf and/or dinner only ticket is June 3, 2019.

What time does the event start?

If you are golfing, registration begins at 7:30am and Tee-Off times start at 9:00pm. 

What is the deadline for inclusion in the Tournament Tribute Book?

If you purchased an advertisement package, or a sponsorship package which includes advertisement in the Tournament Tribute Book, the deadline for inclusion is May 31, 2019.

What are the specifications for advertisements?

Camera-ready art is preferred. High resolution PDF files (with fonts embedded) are also preferred although we will accept TIFF or EPS files. All ads are non-bleed. Please note that the specs listed are subject to change.

What are the contests?

On-course contests include a closest to the pin contest and longest drive contest. Off-course contests include a raffle drawing and silent auction. A few of the great prizes we have for the silent auction include comedy show tickets, restaurant gift cards, and much more!

Where do the proceeds go?

All proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorships, advertisements, raffle contests, and the silent auction go directly towards HYC's, therapeutic, educational, recreational and family service programs benefiting youth and families in Southeast Los Angeles and Long Beach. HYC strives to prevent and alleviate child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, gang induction, juvenile delinquency, and substance abuse. We offer individual, group, and family counseling, parenting classes, financial literacy training, housing assistance, and recreational programs. 

Are you accepting volunteers for this event?

HYC relies on dedicated volunteers to help make this event a success. We need volunteers to help set up the event, assist with the silent auction, collect donations, assist registrants, and overall ensure the event runs smoothly. What if I cannot attend but I would still like to support this event and HYC?

Since 1971, HYC has been eliminating barriers to self-sufficiency by empowering youth and families.  We are proud to announce that in the last year, we provided comprehensive educational, counseling, social and recreational services to over 5,000 at-risk, low-income youth and their families in the communities of Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Hawaiian Gardens, Lakewood, La Mirada, Long Beach, Norwalk, Paramount, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, Signal Hill, Whittier, and Unincorporated South Whittier.

HYC's Mission: To serve youth and their families by promoting the development of of strong individuals and families in their community. This is accomplished through education, therapeutic approches, advocacy, and the utilization of community resources.
