14th Annual HBCU College Fair
Presented by McDonald's
The 14th Annual Historically Black College and University (HBCU) College Fair & High School Tours is destined to be the largest HBCU event in Ohio. Not only is it a college fair, the event serves as an experience and exposure to resources and opportunities for students to succeed. The main event will take place from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Warrensville Heights High School, 4270 Northfield Road, Warrensville Heights, OH 44128. The pre-scheduled high school tours will be November 15-18, 2016.
The Cleveland Council of Black Colleges Alumni Association, the event organizers, anticipates more than 50 HBCU schools; along with a number of educational exhibitors and vendors that will participate in the fair. In 2015, the multi-day event attracted the participation of more than 3000 students, parents and educators who took advantage of the many opportunities offered
The theme for this year’s fair is “Good Times.” It’s safe to say that just about anyone that has ever attended or currently enrolled, will certainly agree with the testimony that, “These were, are and will be the good times.” From the moment a person steps on campus, navigating through a rigorous academic program, exploring the historic landmarks, networking with influential graduates; any individual will be able to witness that these were the best of times. It is through this event with all of the pomp and circumstance of the day that we want to impress upon the next generation – that attending one of these institutions of higher learning, a student can fulfill their dreams and prepare for the challenges ahead. The HBCUs represented and other exhibitors in attendance will certainly add value to a student’s situation by reminding them to keep their head above water and make some waves when you can through any situation and without getting hassled or hustled. Everyone is bound to have some “Good Times” and come to love the place that they will call home for the next four years.
