Event description
Young people (ages 14-21) are invited to virtually meet with NYC agencies & organizations to find great opportunities for summer & beyond!

About this event

In 2008, Brooklyn Community Board 14 started the CB14 Youth Conference to help local teens find jobs, internships, and other opportunities within the communities of Flatbush, Midwood, parts of Kensington and beyond.

Over the past 13 years, thousands of teens have discovered their paths to success at the Brooklyn Community Board 14 Youth Conference.

The 2021 Youth Conference will be virtual!

Young people (ages 14-21) and their families are invited to join presenters from New York City agencies & nonprofit organizations online to learn about the many opportunities available to young people. There will be information panels and Q&A with representatives via Zoom to help students and out-of-school youth sign up for great programs, services & supportive resources for the summer and beyond.

Info Panels & Networking

Covid-19 changed New York City and the world in 2020 & 2021, but there are still hundreds of great programs, resources & services available for young people. You just have to know where to look!

Companies, nonprofits and city agencies are hiring staff and interns. Nonprofit organizations offer health training, arts programs, social events, career training programs, sports and athletic training, and so much more! Come learn about opportunities for the summer and beyond.

While our 14th Annual Youth Conference will be virtual this year via Zoom, we are confident that the young people who attend will benefit greatly from the experience, gaining valuable information, new contacts and more! Check back soon to learn more about participating organizations and program details!

Q & A with Representatives

2021 Youth Conference attendees will have the opportunity to participate in presentations from professionals from a variety of City agencies and nonprofit organizations. Q&A and panel discussions will follow each presentation via zoom chat, offering an opportunity to gather information on how to apply for programs, get additional information about services and offer feedback on programs and services you would like to see offered to you and your peers

This year’s event will be online but will still offer opportunities to learn about amazing youth programs, services and opportunities as in past years. Because of these interactions, thousands of teens over the past thirteen years have gained invaluable experience for charting their futures.

We look forward to seeing you online on May 19th!

We hope you will join us again this year! More details coming soon but pre-register today to get started! We post opportunities for youth on our website all year long!
