Welcome to MESSy Speaker Night organized by the Mechanical Engineering Student Society and the Alumni Relations Office of the University of Ottawa.
Sarah Horton graduated from uOttawa with a B.A.Sc in Biomedical Mechanical Engineering in 2019. She currently works in the San Francisco Bay Area as a mechanical engineer developing Ottava, Johnson & Johnson's newly announced surgical assistant robot. As a student, Sarah co-founded uOttawa Bionics, a JMTS team focused on solving issues in the medical field using engineering tools. She also conducted research with implants and exoskeletons as well as worked on wearable devices.
Join us as she shares her story on several topics such as her student experience, how she got to where she is today, her experience in industry, and the expectation vs reality of life post graduation.
The event is open to all university and college students and recent graduates.
