Join us as we celebrate Black History, and reflect on the countless contributions from members of our African American community!

About this Event

Making Black history accessible in our communities is one of the first steps to being able to celebrate Black History. This event will be held virtually, with subtitles to include Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community members, and is 100% free to attend.

Our 2021 Black History Month Celebration Will Include:

  • Black History Month Education by Boulder City Councilwoman, Junie Joseph
  • Soloist Performances by Rev. Nathaniel Black
  • A Special Presentation by the Withers' Photography Collection
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Terry Nelson, the special collection and community resource manager for the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Dr. Warren Washington, Atmospheric and Climate Scientist
