Friends of 13th Street Cat Rescue Are Proud to Present

The Ninth Annual Tea

A Fundraiser for 13th Street Cat Rescue.

Saturday, February 10th
Seatings are at 2pm*

(*VIP Guests are seated at 1:30pm )

Please join us for an afternoon of pleasure while we enjoy a lovely English Style Tea in a beautiful Victorian private home in the Hensley Historic District of San Jose.

A feast for all the senses… Sit in opulent splendor as you enjoy a leisurely afternoon sipping tea and feasting on a generous assortment of delectable treats. Wonderful items await your generous bids in the Silent Auction and you can purchase tickets for our delightful raffle.



Full Afternoon Tea Includes:

An assortment of delicious tea sandwiches, savory item, a fresh scone with homemade lemon curd or scrumptious jam, dessert, nut cup, grapes, and handmade chocolate. Plus all the freshly-brewed Earl Grey and Herbal Tea you care to drink.



Several Ticket Types to Choose From:

*In order to be seated together, all tickets must be purchased together in one transaction. For parties over six, in very rare cases, we may not be able to seat your entire party at the same table; however, we will do our best to seat you all in the same room.

Please know that our event sells out quickly each year, so we encourage you purchase your tickets early.

The VIP Full Afternoon Tea with Champagne; $100.00 each (available during pre-sale)

This VIP ticket includes free flowing champagne and/or elderflower soda, exclusive thank you gifts, and of course our Full Afternoon Tea. VIPs are also invited to arrive a half hour earlier in order to take advantage of a leisurely arrival and are able to get a sneak peek at the auction and raffle items. The extra time allows you to settle in and receive your tea ahead of the crowd.

The Full Afternoon Tea with Champagne; $65.00 each (available during general sale)

This ticket includes two glasses of Champagne and our Full Afternoon Tea.

The Full Afternoon Tea; $50.00 each (available during general sale)

This ticket includes our Full Afternoon Tea.

Can I upgrade my ticket from Full Afternoon Tea to Full Afternoon Tea with Champagne?

Absolutely. You can do this at the event by contacting your tea server.


I will not be able to make the tea. What do I do?
If you know your ticket(s) will go unused, please let us know at tea@13thstcats.org so we can open up your seat(s) to someone on our waiting list. They will be very grateful to have the opportunity to attend the tea, and also be able to participate in the raffle, auction and other fundraising activities... and you will also have helped us with your contribution. See cancellation policy below for further details.


Can we be seated together if I purchase a ticket separately and have my friends purchase their tickets separately?

No. All tickets need to be purchased together in one transaction, otherwise we cannot guarantee that you will be seated together*.

*Large Parties; for parties over six, in very rare cases, we may not be able to seat your entire party at the same table; however, we will do our best to seat you all in the same room.


What if I'm not sure which of my friends can attend or what type of dish they will want?

That is okay. Just purchase your tickets now with your best guess on which dishes your party will want. However, we will need to know if there are any changes to your order. Please send an email to tea@13thstcats.org including the name the tickets were purchased under, and the changes to your tea type:

For our vegetarian friends, we offer a delicious lacto-ovo option. Unfortunately we are not able to offer a vegan or gluten-free option at this time. Please note: Our food is prepared in a kitchen where nuts and dairy are present.


Where is the tea being held? What is the address?

Because this event is being held at a private residence, the address is not being displayed to the public. The address and event details will be sent along with your confirmation once payment is processed.


Cancellation Policy

Because this is a fundraiser, we cannot offer refunds. If you cannot attend the event, you may have someone else attend in your place. Please let us know the name of the new attendee(s) so that we can add them to our attendance list. If you know your ticket(s) will go unused, please let us know so we can open up your seat(s) to someone on our waiting list. They will be very grateful to have the opportunity to attend the tea, and also be able to participate in the raffle, auction and other fundraising activities... and you will also have helped us with your contribution. >^.^<
