Event description

Description

In an effort to raise awareness about the school-to-prison pipeline and share tools with stakeholders who have direct influence on the outcome of African American males in Oakland County, the African American Male Task Force would like to invite parents, school administrators, school liaison officers, educators, and students where age appropriate to attend the 13th Film Screening and Panel Discussion on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Oakland Schools. Common Sense Media recommends students should be 16+ years and the parent reviews on the website indicate that the film is appropriate for students 14+ years. However, we ask parents to make a family decision about the appropriate age for their child to view the film.

If you have questions, please contact Dr. Jay Marks, Diversity and Equity Consultant at Oakland Schools at jay.marks@oakland.k12.mi.us or 248.209.2272. Please distribute the enclosed flyer to your school community and post in your school.
