Description

The Oscar-nominated film, Best Documentary winner at the Emmys, the BAFTAs and NAACP Image Awards will be shown at the library with a discussion to follow. Our distinguished panel will include:

  • Dr. David E. Jones is an award-winning and leading scholar-practitioner in higher education. He currently serves as the director of the Paul Robeson Cultural Center at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, adjunct professor for the Department of Africana Studies and co-president/founder of the Harris Jones Consulting Group.

  • Dr. Hannah Walker is an assistant professor of Political Science and Criminal Justice at Rutgers University. Her research examines the impact of the criminal justice system on American democracy with special attention to minority and immigrant communities. Previously, she served as a post-doctoral fellow with the Prisons and Justice Initiative at Georgetown University, and received her PhD in June, 2016 from the University of Washington.
