About this event
The 13th Mardi Gras Columbia Festival takes place on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023 (12-7pm) at City Roots urban farm in Columbia, SC. ⚜️
🟣 The event will feature:
- A parade to kick things off on Jim Hamilton Blvd. in the Rosewood District — lineup at 10am, starts at 11am (free & open to the public to participate — beads encouraged!)
- $5 festival entry (free for kids 12 and under) — tickets available here on Eventbrite or at the door
- Beer from BevSouth and Abita Brewing
- Food trucks + local vendors
- 3 stages of local, live music all throughout the fest from 12-7pm
- Dancing, singing, and general merriment. Laissez les bons temps rouler! (Let the good times roll.)

- NO CONCEALABLE WEAPONS ALLOWED.
- Are dogs allowed?
- Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome in the parade and at the festival. No dogs are allowed in City Roots’ greenhouses or kitchen facilities.
- How do you become a vendor featured at the festival?
- Krewe member Joe Turkaly handles our vendors; please reach out to him via Facebook message (https://www.facebook.com/joe.turkaly) and he will get back to you with information. Thanks for your interest! UPDATE: We are full for this year. Try back for 2024.

About the Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya
The Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya is an all-volunteer private club based in Columbia, South Carolina that is dedicated to doing charitable work and letting the good times roll since founding the Mardi Gras Columbia festival in 2011.
Committed to the Krewe’s benevolent mission, each Krewe member participates in the organization of the Mardi Gras Parade and the Mardi Gras Festival, to bring the community together in a family-friendly atmosphere of unity and celebration. Other Krewe events throughout the year consist of happy hours, barbecues, bacchanals, other local parades, and the annual coronation of the King and Queen of the Krewe de Columbi-Ya-Ya, held near Twelfth Night. The Mardi Gras Columbia festival occurs each year on the Saturday before Fat Tuesday.
