Description

China's rapid development and Sino-American relations have a direct impact on the lives of nearly everyone in the United States. CHINA Town Hall is a national conversation about China that provides Americans across the United States and beyond the opportunity to discuss issues in the relationship with leading experts.


Join us for the 13th annual CHINA Town Hall, hosted nationwide by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR) and in Baltimore by the Baltimore - Xiamen Sister City Committee, on Monday, November 18th, 2019 at 5:30PM at Baltimore City Hall

featuring, as national panelists, via webcast,

Mr. Stephen Orlins, President of the NCUSCR,

Dr. Melanie Hart, senior fellow and director for China policy at the Center for American Progress,

Dr. Yasheng Huang, Epoch Foundation professor of international management and faculty director of action learning at the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology,

Dr. Ely Ratner, Executive Vice President and Director of Studies at the Center for a New American Security,

with the national dialogue moderated by

Mr. George Stephanopoulos, ABC News’ chief anchor,

and the local dialogue moderated in person by

Mr. Nat Ahrens, Executive Director and Founder, American Mandarin Society.


This event also includes a catered networking reception.


The Early Bird rate will be valid through November 11th (extended from the 4th). Tickets purchased November 12th (was the 5th) or later will be an additional $10 (plus fees) per ticket.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Photo ID will be required to enter the venue. There is no minimum age requirement. However, all attendees must have purchased a valid ticket in advance.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Please plan transportation accordingly, taking into account evening traffic in and around downtown Baltimore. If you are driving, parking at Baltimore Street Garage (15 Guilford Ave, Baltimore, MD 21202) next to City Hall at Fayette St. & Guilford Ave. is highly recommended. A number of other area garages will close prior to the end of this event.

What's the refund policy?

No refunds are available.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No. The check-in desk will have your name on file and will provide you with a name tag upon check-in.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

No. Tickets are not transferrable.
