The Wisconsin Chapter of the Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals is pleased to announce the 13th Annual Cardiovascular Educational Symposium.

Schedule of Events:

The Science of Good Chest Compressions--Tyler Christifulli:Tyler Christifulli is a flight paramedic for LifeLink iii in St Paul, Minnesota. He is the co-creator for FOAMfrat blog and podcast, and educator for FlightBridgeED. Coming up on 11 years in EMS, Tyler is focused on innovating the ways we teach emergency medicine.

Anomalies Seen in the Cath Lab--Sue Moore, RTR RCIS & Khawaja Afzal Ammar, MD: Sue attended UWGB, finishing her clinical studies in 1985 at St. Mary's Hospital, Milwaukee, WI and is entering her 30th year at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center. She's also taught coronary and cardiac anatomy for over 30 years. She has mentored many students, from new hires, to Aurora St. Luke's Cardiology Fellows. She's honored to have served on the board for the Society of Cardiovascular Professionals. Dr. Ammar is a highly accomplished Milwaukee area cardiologist known for teaching as Associate Cardiology Fellowship Program Director with Teacher of the Year Award in 2015. He serves as the Associate Professor of Medicine at UW Madison, has over 50 peer reviewed publications and over 80 national and international presentations on topics including diagnostic coronary angiography and Fractional Flow Reserve.

CoreVision Advanced Imaging System--Firas Ghanem, MD: Dr Ghanem studied Cardiology as the Chief Cardiology Fellow at Michigan State University, and Interventional Cardiology as a Fellow at the University of Alabama Birmingham. He has worked as an Interventional Cardiologist with Southeran Indiana Heart and Vascular / Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, IN and is currently an Interventional Cardiologist with Wheaton Franciscan Medical Group-Heart and Vascular, specializing in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. He is the first physician in Wisconsin to utilize the CoreVision Advanced Imaging System. Dr. Ghanem has board certifications / post grad degrees in: Endovascular Diplomate-American Board of Vascular Medicine, Diplomate-American Board of Interventional Cardiology, Diplomate-American Board of Cardiovascular Disease, RPVI (Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation), Diplomate-Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography, Diplomate-Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology. He has also published over a dozel articles/abstracts related to cardiology.

The Effects of Cholesterol on the Heart--Joshua Liberman, MD, FACC: Dr. Liberman earned his degree in medicine from Boston University in 2000, and completed a cardiovascular fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center. He is board certified in cardiology and critical care medicine. He has a particular interest in preventative cardiology with advanced training in cholesterol management, hypertension and cardiac imaging.

Critical Limb Inschemia--Eric Stilp, MD: Dr Stilp earned his medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington D.C., in 2006. He went on to complete 8 years of post-graduate training at Yale School of Medicine, New Haven, Conn., that included a residency in internal medicine, a year as chief medical resident, and fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Stilp is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and non-invasive vascular imaging.
