Financial, Legal, Mental, Social, and Healthcare Perspectives

Offering 4.5 CEU's

May is Elder Abuse Awareness Month and Adult Protective Services is honored to host our 13th Annual Older American's Month Conference.  This year's conference will highlight our community's recovery efforts following the damange caused by Hurricane Harvey and the historic flooding that affected so many older adults and adults with disabilities.  This conference will bring together professionals from the Houston area community for a day of training, networking and exchanging ideas that benefit vulnerable adults.  Workshops will feature presentations covering recovery, community healing and wellness, as well as preparing for the future.  In 2017 Adult Protective Services investigated over 20,000 cases of Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation in the Houston district.
