Whether you speak one language, two, or something in-between, Tongues is for you.Tongues is more than a performance — it’s a bilingual gathering, an offering, a space to honor our mother tongues, our migration stories, and the in-betweens.In addition to the performances of Tongues, join us for a workshop from Wisteria Deng, "From Stress to Strength: Multi-Sensory Healing Workshop for Immigrants &amp; Allies in NYC" and end the night with "Mother Tongues Karaoke" with special guest Ziru Wang! 1:00 PM — "Tongues" Performance #13:30 PM — Healing Workshop6:30 PM — "Tongues" Performance #28:00 PM — Karaoke open mic "TONGUES" PERFORMANCES WILL BE CAPTIONED FOR DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING AUDIENCE. ####The Performance Project at University Settlement is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. "Tongues" 1pm performance

How do immigrants find ways of meaning-making in particular times like right now? How to help your immigrant friends during stressful times? This workshop recognizes the weight of being an immigrant, owning intersecting identities, or simply living in the diverse yet isolating City of New York. Together, we will celebrate such intersectionality as a unique source of strength, finding collective healing in a series of mindfulness, multi-sensory exercises.

Last event of the 14th is… KARAOKE NIGHT!! Featuring our special guest Ziru Wang and her beautiful voice!
