NJWS resumes a tradition with its annual side by side and Youth Soloist winner
About this event
From prominent organ soloist Gordon Turk to the winner of the 16th Annual NJWS Youth Soloist competition, we bring our season to a close by showcasing musical talent that spans across generations. The NJWS will perform a variety of works including Dmitri Shostakovich’s iconic “Festive Overture” before sharing the stage with the finest local high school wind, brass, and percussion students to join us on stage as part of our Side by Side program. We look forward to this concert experience as it allows us to interact with the music students that are the future of school and community bands across the nation!
