It’s that time of year again… Join us for our 12th annual Harvest Festival! Come out on September 29th for a day full of family fun including fall games (for adults & kids), shopping vendors, festive foods, grape stomping, 3 guest wineries and live music! Feel free to order lunch from Le Grand Cru bistro, bring a picnic, or purchase snacks from our different vendors.  Come dressed as I Love Lucy to win(e) a secret prize!

Tickets Include: All Activities, live music, wine tastings from Potomac Point Winery & guest wineries!

What is Harvest Festival and how does it work?

Potomac Point's Harvest Fest is a fun and family friendly wine festival in which you receive tastings from Potomac Point Winery and 3 guest wineries included in your admission price (assuming you're 21 or older).  Shopping vendors will be set-up for you to browse.  Fun activities, such as grape stomping, facility tours, moons bounces (for kids and adults), games, face painting and live music for dancing will be set-up around the winery and vineyard.

 

Schedule of Events:

  • 11:00am- Doors Open to event guests
  • 11:00am-5:00pm- Grape Stomping, shopping vendors & kid's activities available
  • 11:30am- Le Grand Cru Bistro Opens
  • 1:00pm-5:00pm- Live Music
  • 12:00pm, 1:30pm & 3:00pm- Harvest Tours

**Please note: this is our most popular and busy day of the year, a real festival type atmosphere.  If you are interested in a calmer, more relaxing day we would love for you to visit us another time**

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

We have complimentary self-parking at our facility.  Parking does tend to fill-up, we recommend driving in groups or taking a taxi/uber!

 

 Is the winery open to the public?

No, this is the one day of the year the winery is not open to the public.  If you plan to visit the winery on Saturday, September 29th between 11am-5pm you must have a harvest festival ticket.  The winery will open to the general public at 5:00pm.

 

Do I need an ID?

Yes. Valid identification is required for admission to the event if you would like to partake in wine tastings.

 

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted at the picnic areas in the vineyards.  We do not allow any outside food and drink to be brought into the winery or any seating areas attached to the winery. Outside alcohol is not permited anywhere on our property.

 

Is Food and Drink included in my ticket price?

Yes and No.  Yes-wine tastings are included in your ticket price.  No-food can be purchased separately from our Le Grand Cru Bistro (we will have a special menu) or a variety of food vendors on-site.

 

Is there a special Harvest Festival Menu? 

Yes! See the special menu on our website!

** Le Grand Cru Bistro's normal menu will not be available during Harvest Festival**

 

What is the refund policy?

Harvest Festival tickets are refundable until one week prior to the event.

 

Will you be selling tickets at the door?

Possibly!  Based on availability, we will be selling tickets at the door between 11:00am-1:00pm.  Please note, we do tend to sell out in advance.

 

Can I purchase wine to take home?

Absolutely!  You are able to purchase wine from Potomac Point Winery and all guest wineries.

 

Can I bring my children?

Definitely.  We have Family Fun Area dedicated to children including moon bounces, face painting, games and more!

 

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, dogs are allowed in the vineyard, outdoor seatig areas and tasting room on a leash.  Please keep in mind this is a very popular event that draws crowds; if your dog is not comfortable with crowds, kids, or other dogs please do not bring them to this event.

 

What happens if it rains?

Rain?  On Harvest Festival Day?  NEVER!  The Harvest Festival is a rain or shine event.

 

Can I volunteer at the Harvest Festival?

Yes! Interested volunteers can email Laurel@potomacpointwinery.com.  Volunteers do receive wine credit.

 

Can I be a vendor at the Harvest Festival?

Possibly!  If you have a wine themed business please email Laurel@potomacpointwinery.com with your business information.

Our Mediterranean estate will make you feel as if you’ve entered Tuscany, only to be up-scaled by our award winning wines. Only 45 minutes outside of Washington, DC we offer a variety of leisurely activities and events. With a selection of wine tastings, facility tours and a full bistro serving lunch,dinner, and Sunday Brunch, Potomac Point Vineyard and Winery is a destination in itself.
