The Grand Central District Association (GCDA) is hosting its 12th Annual Chili Cookoff on Saturday, February 18th, from 12pm-4pm. The Chili Cookoff is the Grand Central District’s longest-running event and serves as a fundraiser for GCDA, a 501c3 non-profit organization. The event will take place on the 2400/2500 block of Central Avenue and will include the chili competition, live music by Noisemakers, South Pinellas County’s School of Rock for kids (and the young at heart), and a variety of vendors.
There is no admission fee to participate in the non-chili aspects of the event and chili tasting tickets are available for $15 adult/$10 children. Advance ticket purchase is recommended; tickets will be available at the event for $20 (based on availability). Chili tasting tickets include samples of all 25+ chili entries, and voting participation in the People’s Choice category. The chili entries will also be tasted and scored by local celebrity judges, and winners will be announced at 4:30pm in multiple categories: Best Restaurant, Best Business, Best Individual, and People’s Choice.
Please note, this event is rain or shine. No refunds will be provided.
