Event description
Be transported to a world of decorated holiday trees and model trains. Bring family & friends for a delightful, fun, and safe experience

About this Event

Join us for a delightful holiday experience as we celebrate the beauty and tradition of decorated holiday trees. Festival of Trees runs Wednesday through Sunday each week from the Friday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27) through Sunday December 20. Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s twelfth Festival of Trees showcases dozens of decorated trees as well as Snow Village, a model railroad display.  This annual event takes place at the Society’s headquarters at The Gardens at Elm Bank, 900 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482.

This event will show tickets for Friday November 27, Saturdays, and Sundays only. To see tickets availability for Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays Click Here

Learn more about your visit

Each ticket gives you a place in an exclusive tour limited to 22 guests and a dedicated tour guide. Your group will not mix with other guests outside of your time slot so you can book with confidence that you will never be part of a large crowd. To give you a safe and secure experience, tickets are extremely limited and we expect to sell out early.

Massachusetts Horticultural Society Members receive early access and discounts on adult tickets. Don’t miss the opportunity to become a member for early access to tickets and our year round benefits. Learn more

Groups will be warmed with a cup of hot chocolate (included) then escorted through dozens of beautifully decorated holiday trees that are donated by local businesses, garden clubs, area organizations, and individuals. Visitors have the option to win their favorite tree(s) by purchasing raffle tickets, the raffle is drawn on December 20. Tree sizes vary from one foot to nine feet in height and many have various gifts in addition to whimsical decorations.

Your visit will also include time to explore Snow Village. This large display features model trains wending their way through villages and vignettes, including Christmas in the City (Boston of course!), Fenway Park, a Dickensian village, the North Pole and hundreds of decorated houses and lights. There are too many Santas to count as well as skaters galore. This is a visual treat for young and old alike and each year it is a little different.

Guests will wrap up their visit at our fire pits, toasting S’mores (S'mores kit included in ticket price). Visits are limited to 1.5-2 hours to help ensure safe numbers and minimal interactions.

We're always looking for volunteers to help make this event a success, click here for available opportunities.
