Don't miss the beloved Palmetto Tasty Tomato Festival, a celebration of local farmers, food, live music, arts, sustainability, and tomatoes!

About this event

Welcome back, Tasty Tomato Festival!

After a two year, Covid-induced hiatus, one of the Midlands' most beloved events is back and better than ever. The 11th Annual Palmetto Tasty Tomato Festival is a celebration of local food, farmers, live music, arts, sustainability, and of course...tomatoes!

Eat More 'Maters

Come hungry, but leave some room to try a variety of heirloom tomatoes grown right here in South Carolina soil. Expect to see some pretty eccentric 'maters...from yellow, to purple, to striped, and beyond!

Please Your Ears

Enjoy a diverse lineup of music provided by local musicians all day long on the Indah Coffee Main Stage and NoMa Warehouse Acoustic Corner.

Community Is Calling

Although the festival always took place at the fantastic urban farm of City Roots in year's past, we're changing locations this year to the bustling, community-oriented neighborhood of Cottontown, just a five-minute drive away from the state capitol and conveniently located to all major interstates.

Cool off inside and enjoy the indoor activities happening at Indah Coffee and NoMa Warehouse before heading back out to Sumter Street, where sustainable art, environment, and food vendors will line the street from 11 AM to 4 PM.

Hop over to Gardener's Outpost and enjoy their brand new location, just beyond the festival footprint. When it's all over, head to The War Mouth for a delicious dinner.

Kids 'Mater, Too

The Tasty Tomato Festival would not be complete without activities designed just for our cherry tomatoes! The Environmental Educators of SC will be on site with some fun activities. In addition, we'll also have a bounce house and face paint for the kids. The best part? Kids ages 10 and under get in free!

Biker Babes

Sustainability is cool. If you can bike to the festival, do! You'll park your bike with a bike valet courtesy of the Colatown Bike Collective and receive a day-of admission discount ($10 vs. $15).
