MPACT Presents Keynote Speaker:

Changing the Frequency and Finding Your Voice

Dani Wilson, Youth Engagement Specialist- SOCCESS

Dani Wilson (pronouns: they/them/theirs) is the Youth Engagement Specialist on the Missouri SOC-CESS (System of Care Community for Early Signs & Symptoms) learning collaborative between the Department of Mental Health and SAMHSA. They received their Masters in Public Health from Saint Louis University in May 2018 and began working with SOC-CESS to advocate for youth voice and provide technical assistance on youth engagement at the sites involved.

As a young LGBTQIA+ professional diagnosed with depression, anxiety and Borderline Personality Disorder, Dani has had a wealth of experience navigating a society that seems to be working against those who stray from the norm. They entered graduate school with the desire to impact mental health policy for youth, and have spent their professional career advocating for policy changes that elevates the perspective of youth with lived experience.

MPACT requests that each Summit attendee complete and bring with you a media release form provided in your confirmation email upon registration.

Missouri Parents Act (MPACT)

Missouri Parents Act (MPACT) is a non-profit that serves children with disabilities, their families, and communities throughout the state. MPACT has served as Missouri’s federally-funded Parent Training and Information Center since 1988.  MPACT also works in collaboration with, and receives funding from, the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).

MPACT is committed to excellence as we provide FREE services and assistance to parents, families, and youth. Our mission is to empower families to advocate for themselves so that children with special educational needs can reach their full potential in education and life - through support, training, and education. MPACT staff and volunteers are located throughout Missouri and work with public and private agencies, parent groups, professional organizations and advocacy groups to achieve that goal.
