You're invited to this year's 11th Annual Mayor's Disability and Diversity Expo!

In recognition of October being National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we are celebrating by offering two free events in order to advance the conversation on equal opportunities and inclusive environments for people with disabilities.

This year's 11th Annual Mayor's Disability and Diversity Expo is complete with break-out informational sessions, over 30 exhibitors, and free giveaways! The District of Columbia is home to over 116,000 people with disabilities and this year more than 500 consumers, caregivers, advocates and students are invited to attend.

As part of this year's Expo, we have four ambassadors, all of whom are individuals with disabilities who've successfuly accessed a DC Government program. The 2018 Ambassadors include; Keith Wright, Kevin Wright, Anjie Shelby, Grace Odrick.

When: Tuesday October 23rd from 10:00 AM through 3:00 PM. Doors open at 9:30 AM with a 1-hour program beginning promptly at 10:00 AM.

Location: The University of the District of Columbia (UDC) - Student Center, 4200 Connecticut Ave. NW

Transportation: The closest Metro stop is Van Ness - UDC Station (red line). There are multiple exits including an elevator directly in front of the Student Center. There is street parking on Connecticut Avenue and a parking garage located off of Van Ness Street.

Accessibility: The building and break-out rooms are wheelchair accessible. Please refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes. When entering the student center there will be a registration desk and all of the exhibitors on the entry level floor. There are two elevators and multiple stairways that will take you to the morning introduction section and break-out sessions.
