Celebrate with a hybrid, virtual, or in-person gingerbread making for the entire family. Create a gingerbread house at home and display throughout the holidays, or attend in person. Children will receive one gingerbread making kit and an individually wrapped cookie for a $25 donation to the Carmel Public Library Foundation, as well as a special goodie bag.

In Person Attendees:

Adults who want to attend will receive a glass of wine, sparkling wine or mimosa from a local winery and can enjoy a gourmet cheese and fruit tray for a $10 donation to the Carmel Public Library Foundation. Additional glasses of wine can be purchased for a $5.00 donation.

$25 per gingerbread house which includes a cookie with hot chocolate or coffee. Adults may purchase a glass of wine with small bites for $10.

Virtual Attendees Pick Up Location:

Hofsas House at San Carlos & 4th Ave., Carmel-by-the-Sea, lower parking lot by the poolside. Pick up of gingerbread making kit will be on FRIDAY, December 2nd between 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

Virtual Gingerbread house decorating Dec. 4th:

Gingerbread house participants have the option to submit their photos and videos on the Hofsas House Hotel and Carmel Public Library Foundation Facebook and Instagram page. A collage of photos and videos will be emailed to all that participated by end of day Monday, December 5th.

To enter the drawing:

To qualify for the drawing you must submit a photo and/or video on Saturday, Dec. 3rd by 7pm to marci@thebuzzpr.net


Participants will be selected at random to win a One-Night Stay subject to availability at the Hofsas House Hotel in a family suite and a $100 gift certificate for some fondue and family fun at Lugano's Swiss Bistro!


Space is limited to 50 Gingerbread houses. Reservations required through Eventbrite and pre-paid.
