Join EdVestors for the 11th Anniversary School on the Move Prize Ceremony!
7:45-8:00am Registration, breakfast and networking
The School on the Move Prize, a critical part of EdVestors' approach to school improvement, allows us to highlight the most improving school in the city and is an inspiring reminder of the hard work and innovation that lead to successes in our public schools.
The School on the Move Prize presented by EdVestors is Boston’s premier award for public schools and is a coveted honor in schools across our city. The annual $100,000 Prize recognizes one of the most improving Boston Public Schools each fall. Despite the many real challenges facing urban schools, each year a select number of public schools document rapid student progress that outpaces the rest of the district.
Through the Prize selection process, EdVestors seeks to understand how and why certain schools are able to accelerate student achievement. An engaged panel of leaders from a cross-section of Boston’s business, philanthropic, and academic communities dive deep into the stories and pertinent data of these rapidly improving schools and select one winner and two finalists each year. Through a case study of the winning school and incorporating what we learn about improving schools into the rest of our work, we help more schools make significant progress and dramatically improve education outcomes for all students.
Support from sponsors at all levels strengthens our work to take what we’ve learned about school improvement from School on the Move prize winners and apply it at a grander scale, helping more schools improve for more students. We are continuing to accept sponsorships for the 11th Anniversary event.
