CapRadio Plays at Capital Stage!
Capital Public Radio is excited to announce CapRadio Plays! And you are invited to join CapRadio Plays, a new group that will explore the various arts and cultural offerings in the greater Sacramento area.
Our inaugural event will feature the Pulitzer Prize & Tony Award Winner performance of August: Osage County by Tracy Letts, directed by Benjamin T. Ismail at Capital Stage.
August: Osage County is filled with a vanished father, a pill-popping mother and three sisters each harboring shady little secrets. When the large Weston family unexpectedly reunites after Dad disappears, their Oklahoman family homestead explodes in a maelstrom of repressed truths and unsettling secrets. Mix in Violet, the drugged-up, scathingly acidic matriarch, and you’ve got a play that unflinchingly – and uproariously – exposes the dark side of the Midwestern American family.
When: Friday, November 4, 2016
Performance: 8pm, Capital Stage, 2215 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816
Price: $34 per ticket
Please join us in the lobby of Capital Stage at 7pm for a discussion about future events.
