1.1) Climate Grief and Personal Change [oiConference: Developments]
Event Information
Description
1.1) Climate Grief and Personal Change is part of a two-day online conference on sustainability and finance.
Rabbi Katy Allen, Jewish Climate Action Network
Tallessyn Zawn Grenfell-Lee, United Methodist Climate Resilience Chaplain (Greater Boston)
Rabbi Moshe Givental, Water from the Rock: Eco-Chaplaincy and Environmental Education
Rev. Dr. Ian Mevorach, Common Street Spiritual Center, Natick (MA)
Oliver Braunschweig, Ph.D. Researcher, The New School
The conference starts off with a webinar on a unique topic: solastalgia or eco-anxiety. Whether it be activists or investors, students or professors, young or old, many people feel a sense of loss and distress, even leading to burn-out and inaction. This session gives room to participants to think through their own and others’ experiences. We want to start the conference by building resilience in what we do, be it for profit or not, and in our private lives as well.
You can either sign up only for individual events or for the whole set of events. Please find the main event and links to all of the individual sessions here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/96756825269

Organizer oikos Boston - Harvard
Organizer of 1.1) Climate Grief and Personal Change [oiConference: Developments]
oikos Boston - Harvard is the organizer of an event series focused on Sustainability in Finance and Investment. It is organized by students from Harvard and activists of oikos international.
We hope that this event series will inspire students and professionals alike to organize, learn, and become active in the field of finance. Finance is a tool that can be used to develop a more sustainable future, combat climate change, preserve biodiversity, and invest in what is good for people and the planet.
oikos Boston - Harvard is also engaged in building a more physical presence on Harvard campus. Becoming an active chapter of oikos international is the goal.
