Description

10x Genomics & Georgia Cancer Center - Augusta University present: Biology at True Resolution

Progress in the life sciences will require the resolution to measure biological systems in a much more comprehensive fashion. The complexity of biology demands technologies that allow researchers to experiment on biological systems at previously inaccessible scales. The Chromium and Visium product lines from 10x Genomics provide the necessary improvements in resolution and scale along distinct but complementary dimensions of biology. Our Chromium products, now available at the Integrated Genomics Shared Resource, enable high-throughput analysis of individual biological components, such as single cells. Our Visium products will measure biological molecules within their spatial context, providing localization information on the analytes that give insight into higher order biological structure and function.

Using our sensitive and robust molecular assays to convert biological analytes into detectable signals, researchers can obtain vast amounts of information about diverse biological characteristics together with their single cell and spatial context. For instance, through innovations in single cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, solutions from 10x Genomics help researchers investigate the body’s response to tumors, discover tumor-associated mutations, and uncover mechanisms of acquired resistance to therapy.

Join us for this informative seminar and learn how our products have led to fundamental discoveries across multiple areas of biology, including cancer, immunology, and neuroscience.

Featured Speaker:

  • Nirav Patel, Science & Technology Advisor, 10x Genomics - "Discover How Single Cell Genomics and Spatial Transcriptomics Provide a Comprehensive View of Complex Biology"

* The meeting is free to attend, but registration is required. Light refreshments and sweets will be provided to registered attendees. Please RSVP to reserve your spot. We look forward to seeing you there!

Seminar will be from 1:00pm-2:00pm and office hours will be from 2:00-4:00 pm. Please contact Fred Souret at fred.souret@10xgenomics.com to schedule a one-on-one session. Each session will be 30 mins.
