10th Planet Jiu Jitsu for Women's Self Defense

Description
Our mission is to empower all women with confidence and practical, realistic self defense skills through a style of jiu jitsu that emphasizes escaping from larger opponents and implementing techniques from what might be otherwise bad or "worse case scenario" positions, such as being pinned down on your back. We break down the theory and movement for each position then practice them in live controlled drills that demonstrate the tools and power you already have available to you.
Our seminars run about 2 hours. You will be in close physical contact with other participants grabbing each other and working in positions and situational drills on the ground, you can expect physical exertion and to sweat. Fitted workout clothing is best, we recommend leggings and a long sleeve rash guard or compression shirt, but anything not too loose will work. We will be barefoot on mats so please make sure your feet are clean and bring flip flops or easy to take off shoes. We also recommend you bring water and a towel and have your hair pulled back and no jewelry on. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to fill out our waiver and stretch.
