10th Annual Tim Miller Spring Yoga Workshop

Enlightening the Body, Stilling the Mind, and Unveiling the Spirit
The various practices of yoga offer us an opportunity to make a journey from the outer to the inner, the gross to the subtle, the tangible to the intangible, the seen to the seer. In this workshop we will begin with a strong asana practice to purify and strengthen the body, to awaken the natural intelligence of the body, and to render the body more agile and flexible. Following the asana practice will be an introduction to the practice of pranayama—the art of breathing mindfully—to still and refine the mind. The final part of the workshop will consist of an exploration of sound through mantras and kirtan to awaken the Divine presence.
Instructor Tim Miller brings 40 years of experience to the practice and teaching of yoga. This workshop will offer a distillation of insights from that experience.

The Sean O’Shea Foundation is focused on empowering children through teaching yoga, mindfulness and nutrition classes in schools in San Diego. We focus on children who live in economically disadvantaged areas, have limited exposure to the benefits of nutrition, and are unfamiliar with yoga.
