Event description

Description

PLEASE NOTE: Only general admission tickets will be available at the gate for $65. For best availability and prices, purchase tickets ahead.

Join us in downtown Oak Park on Saturday, August 19, 2017 for brews, bites and tunes at the largest zero-waste craft beer fest in the Midwest!

Enjoy a great beer festival and help raise vital funds for Seven Generations Ahead, an environmental non-profit working to promote healthy and sustainable communities.

Featuring inventive brews from 80+ of the Midwest's finest craft breweries, live music and small plates from popular local restaurants, this is one of Chicagoland's top craft beer festivals of the summer.

And with nothing from the event going to landfill, by coming to our event you're doing a good thing for the planet too!

The Oak Park Microbrew Review is a fundraising event. Tickets are non-refundable.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

The venue is open and the restaurant booths sell directly to the consumers. To sample the beer you must be 21, you will need a ticket (purchase your ticket here at EventBrite) and a photo ID to get a wristband at Check-In.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is limited and not free. We recommend Metra (Oak Park stop) or the El (Harlem stop), both of which have stops in the middle of the fest. We also have a deal with Lyft. If you provide the code (SGA), new users get $5 off their first 10 rides.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please email us at admin@sevengenerationsahead.org.

What's the refund policy?

There are no refunds! We hold the fest rain or shine.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You must bring either your printed ticket or your e-ticket on your phone to get your wristband.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, log on to EventBrite to change the type of ticket you have, transfer it to a friend, etc.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

The ticket can be transferred to a friend through your EventBrite account.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Your ticket and your ID need to match.

What are the differences between VIP and Hop Challenge tickets?

A VIP ticket gets you access between 12:30-2:30pm to smaller venues around the fest where specific beers and food are paired. (See specifics here... http://sevengenerationsahead.org/oak-park-microbrew-and-food-review/food-and-brews )The Hop Challenge is a special area in the fest that requires either a VIP ticket or a Hop Challenge ticket to taste and vote and it is open from 2-3pm. This year brewers are provided with a particular yeast and are charged with making an American Pale Ale. Attendees taste to their hearts content and then vote for their favorite. An award is given each year to the winner! Last year Buckledown Brewery created the favorite Single-Varietal Dry Hopped Pale Ale. Once the main fest opens at 3pm, anyone can enter, but the voting will be finished at that point.
