It's that time again to beat heart disease together!
Join the Foundation for Black Women's Wellness for our 10th Annual National Wear Red Day Event on Saturday, February 20th, 2021, 10am -12pm CST!
This year's event will be VIRTUAL, hosted on Zoom, and livestreamed on Facebook!
Join us online dressed in your red best or red work-out gear and join the fight against heart disease in women -- the #1 health threat to Black Women of every age! Our CEO & host Lisa Peyton-Caire and special guests will inform, inspire, and empower you to protect your heart, boost your personal fitness, and to commit to living your healthiest life NOW!
The event will feature a powerful panel discussion with Dr. Sandy Charles, Board Certified Cardiologist and Medical Director of the Novant Health Women's Heart & Vascular Center; heart attack survivor, Rev. Veloris Brooks, Pastor of Spirit & Truth Ministries, Milwaukee; and live fitness with Coach Venus Washington of Venus Inspires Health & Wellness! We'll close the event with several prize giveaways including Best Dressed, Most Engaged Attendee, and several more!
PREVENTION is our focus, and increased SURVIVORSHIP for those living with a cardiovascular condition. YOU CAN THRIVE! We'll show you how! Come with your questions!
And as always, this is an intergenerational event for Mothers, Sisters, Daughters, Grandma and everyone! Men are welcomed too!
