10TH ANNUAL LEMUEL SHATTUCK HOSPITAL
The Pandemic of Addiction: How Specific Populations are Affected and Treated
Friday, November 4, 2016 - 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
55 Hallet Street
Dorchester, MA 02122
The purpose of the 2016 LSH Symposium is education toward specific populations who are affected by street and designer drugs. We will be addressing co-occurring medical illness such as HIV/AIDS, HepC and other sexual transmitted diseases. We will also discuss psychological supports and interventions that encourage and motivate individuals to remain abstinent and invest in their recovery. Our speakers are from a variety of different backgrounds from medical providers who are well versed in clinical practice to public servants involved in the criminal justice system. All of them are deeply invested in bettering the lives of individuals who are plagued by substance use disorders. The attendees will leave the symposium with the most current information regarding community supports as well as medical and psychological interventions to help those with substance use disorders.
Pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is October 28, 2016 or when sold out (this event sells out so register today!). No on-site registration is available. Registration completed after October 17th will be subject to a $15.00 late fee
