10th Annual Bessie's Run/Walk

Bessie’s Angels is a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to nurture, empower, educate and to provide low-income housing to young women touched by the foster care system.

Join us Saturday June 3rd at Edgewater Park Upper Pavilion for a 5k run or walk. Registration opens at 8am. Event kickoff starts at 8:30am with fun, stretch, and children's activities. Runners and walkers will start the course at 9am. Kids and pets are welcome! Celebrate ten years of supporting Bessie's Angels with a picnic following the race. Food and drinks are provided.

Participants unable to attend in-person can walk virtually, anytime between Sunday May 28th through June 3rd. Invite your friends and family from anywhere to join. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please let us know!

The walk/run goal is to get outside and have fun while we raise funds to open a third “Bessie’s Place” house in cooperation with the Cuyahoga Land Bank. The house will provide young women who have aged out of foster care a safe place to live. All proceeds from your ticket benefit our organization by helping meet immediate needs of young women.

All RUNNERS will receive a medal.

I further state that I am in proper physical condition to compete in the race, and that I am an amateur runner. Also, I authorize the use of my name and/or photograph, taken at this race, for use in any news media.
