About this Event

#1000techentrepreneurs is a campaign to help aspiring entrepreneurs learn about building a startup. The Aspiring tech entrepreneurs are given an opportunity to set up tech startups that are centric around solving industry and real-world challenges within 5 days. The following months' entrepreneurs will be assisted to grow their startups further. The campaign is a nationwide campaign with Ideation and MVP boot camps which are structured to assist entrepreneurs set up their tech startups being held across South Africa in different cities.

Our program is open to anybody from any background! No prior entrepreneurship experience is required.

We envision a South Africa that takes charge of the development of world technology innovations through technology entrepreneurship.

The Ideation Boot camps will cover

Day 1: Ideation and Business Model

Industry challenges presented to those who don't have an idea.

Present how different technologies can help solve a problem.

Design initial business model and value propositions.

Day 2: Design and Product Engineering

Open with design speaker (iterative/agile design)

Open with product engineering speaker (discuss the software development process, discuss the Agile process to help entrepreneurs discuss technical requirements with developers).

Start building MVP with no-code tools (landing page, email funnels, etc).

Help understand the effort that goes into validating a business model

Day 3: Customer Validation, Brand Development, and Marketing

Open with brand development speaker

Open with digital marketing speaker (optional)

Start validating current ideas and business models

Make changes to MVP

Setting up digital campaigns (such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

Day 4: Digital Sales, General Sales, and Pitching

Open with Digital e-commerce speaker (discuss the online sales process)

Open with start-up business development speaker (learn how to make offline sales)

Open with pitching speaker (help businesses pitch to investors)

Create a pitch deck and presentations

Continue working on MVP.

Day 5: Pitch Day

Start a panel discussion on the importance of entrepreneurship in South Africa

Allow startups to pitch MVP models.

The close day with networking (network amongst investors, speakers, and entrepreneurs
