The course is to assist construction workers, foreman, and superintendents to recognize safety hazards and create a safer construction job site. Each attendee will receive a copy of the OSHA Standard for Construction (29 CFR 1926). 3-6 weeks after the class, attendees that participate in all classroom time, will be mailed a U.S. Department of Labor 10 Hour OSHA Construction wallet card certificate.
Brian Owens, Risk Control Consultant – Lovitt & Touché
Brian has served in environmental, health, and safety capacities at every level for the last decade. His knowledge and experience extend beyond mining into construction, oil and gas, pipeline, manufacturing, fabrication, metal re-melt and extrusion. Brian has a Bachelors Degrees in Science, with a major concentration in Occupational Safety & Health. He is a certified MSHA Instructor, OSHA Outreach Authorized trainer for Construction and General Industry, and an internal auditor for the OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety Management System. He has spoken internationally on his theory of Inversion, a concept of perspective based safety culture development.
