Join us for a Continental Breakfast on Thursday, June 21st and a second Continental Breakfast on Friday, June 22nd..

The course is to assist construction workers, foreman, and superintendents to recognize safety hazards and create a safer construction job site. One person from each company will receive a copy of the OSHA Standard for Construction (29 CFR 1926). Each attendee will receive a copy of a Construction Fieldbook which lists common construction regulations as well as the most common standards cited for construction. The Fieldbooks are in both English and Spanish. 3-6 weeks after the class, attendees that participate in all classroom time, will be mailed a U.S. Department of Labor 10 Hour OSHA Construction wallet card certificate.

  • Two Hours: Introduction to OSHA

  • Four Hours: OSHA Focus Four Hazards; Falls, Electrocution, Struck-By, Caught-In or Between

  • One Hour: Personal Protective Equipment

  • One Hour: Health Hazards in Construction

  • One Hour: Scaffolds

  • One Hour: Excavations

Eric J. Ruppaner, CPCU, ARM

Amerisure Mutual Insurance Co., Senior Loss Control Consultant

Eric is a graduate of both the University of Akron with a Bachelors of Science in Finance and Hiram College with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Management.

Eric began his insurance career as a Marketing Manager for a national multi-line commercial and property insurer based out of Ohio. In that position, he enjoyed working with independent agents and policy holders to control and prevent losses as well as underwrite and price their accounts.

In 2011, Eric continued his profession in loss control as a Risk Consultant for a national multi-line commercial property and casualty insurer. During his 3 years with that company he specialized in providing safety training and expertise for construction, manufacturing, auto, petroleum, and propane industries. He developed an ability to discover practical solutions to help control and prevent losses while working with policyholders. He has a talent of identifying opportunities for improvement and hazard recognition and works diligently to help clients provide safe work environments for their employees.

Eric holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Risk Management designations. In October 2014 he became a part of the Amerisure loss control team and provides safety and risk management service to commercial policyholders in Arizona and Utah.
