Event description
Help us get past "Minnesota Nice" and into the place where we can address the systemic inequality in our community head-on.

About this event

Join us for "1 City. 2 Realities." the world's first truly virtual exhibition space highlighting racial inequalities in our nation and community. Minneapolis has long thrived on the reputation of being one of the "Best Places To Live" in the country, while at the same time, has one of the largest racial inequality gaps in the nation.

Through photos, videos, audio clips, and data visualizations, this virtual exhibition highlights this reality to help us get past "Minnesota Nice" and into the place where we can address the systemic inequality in our community head-on.

You will use an avatar and roam freely to consume content, engage socially, and emotionally connect. You can also meet with friends and colleagues in the space to navigate together!

Registrants will receive access to the virtual reality exhibit on Thursday, January 13 at 9 am and will be able to explore it as many times as you want until Wednesday, January 19. We will be hosting debriefs and conversations each weekday during MLK week to discuss the exhibition. Please select from one of the times listed.

This virtual exhibition can be accessed by anyone with a computer and internet from their own home or workplace.

Debriefs will be led by facilitators and last 45 minutes. Debrief times are as follows:

- Monday, January 17: 4 pm

- Tuesday, January 18: noon

- Wednesday, January 19: noon
