It’s no secret the “future of work” has become a hot topic of conversation. Discussions on change are taking place all over the globe. What will workplace look like in the future, and how are those differences affecting my workplace now? Leaders are wise to ask these questions because with change comes the need to adapt, and to wait comes at a considerable cost.

Custer knows all too well the complexities of change. As a working showroom, they are constantly challenged with implementing new strategies to support their mobile sales, design, operations, and administration work forces. Custer announced most recently, the opening of their second Grand Rapids office at 320 Hall Street SW. The renovated 55,000 square-foot expansion offers a new home for Custer’s audio visual (AV) technology department and an R&D lab for the AV technology team, as well as offices and collaboration spaces designed and built by Renegade, Custer’s custom-tailored solutions division. The location also includes 45,000 square feet of warehouse space for Custer’s operations and distribution teams.

320 Hall Street demonstrates Custer’s continued growth and supports the expansion of their growing company. The success of the project came down to change management. To addressing the concerns, anxieties, and expectations of the people involved. This talk shares some of their experiences and insights and offers a few helpful guidelines for successfully managing similar challenges.
