Today, the very first shows for exciting new venture, The Arc, went on sale and we have to say—there’s nothing we love more than seeing those shows up and selling on Eventbrite Music.

The Arc is a unique independently-owned 20,000-sq.-ft. live concert and event space—the first major venue of its kind in Queens, New York. The 24-hour dual-stage venue andmultimedia facility is located in the heart of Long Island City, the fastest growing neighborhood within one of the most ethnically diverse counties in America.

The Arc benefits from a solid pedigree of music + immersive event expertise — its COO, Rich Pawelczyk, brings bonafide music industry pedigree after 23 years at Manhattan’s iconic Webster Hall, and John Belitsky, the venue’s Founder, is a successful entrepreneur and self-described music head that has spent the most recent part of his career building and running DMNDR, the global community of artists, musicians and fans, which also owns The Arc. It will house two spaces—a 1,700 capacity hall for national touring acts and a more intimate 400 capacity room.

The venue will soft open in May with a series of four shows — the NABRHOOD Warehouse Series — featuring artists that encompasses hip hop, soul, and electronic dance music, including Flamingosis, French Horn Rebellion, Miami Horror, and Shigeto. But despite an impressive lineup, the music is just the beginning—cutting edge art, film projection, and custom food & drink pairings will populate the space. 3LD, a Manhattan-based not-for-profit community-oriented and artist-run production development studio will be transforming time and space with its immersive media and projection platform.

DMNDR founder John Belitsky is leveraging his background as an entrepreneur, two decades of experience in NYC commercial real estate as well as media, technology and art projects to bring The Arc to life. The Arc is the culmination and coalescing of John’s career long interests. “DMNDR believes that demand is the most valuable, organizing force in the modern economy. Creating and leveraging demand is our obsession,” said DMNDR founder, John Belitsky. “Because of this we didn’t take the selection of a ticketing partner for The Arc lightly — we wanted a technologically advanced platform that shared an innovative approach to marketing and driving demand, and we found that in Eventbrite.”

The Arc signing brings a fantastic new music and arts group into Eventbrite’s community of leading independent players in New York City that includes AdHoc Presents, Avant Gardner, Bowery Ballroom, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, Brooklyn Bowl, House of Yes, Mercury Lounge, and PopGun Presents’ Elsewhere.

“Rich and I have been talking about selling tickets for the better part of a decade and I’m glad it has finally come together with this partnership between The Arc and Eventbrite. We are both very bullish about the powerful part technology can play in the artist and fan experience, and the health of a lively independent arts and music ecosystem. I’m delighted to add them to our amazing roster of independent New York City promoters,” said Andrew Dreskin, President of Eventbrite’s music division.
