Our mission is to bring the world together through live experiences. While the COVID-19 global pandemic has challenged the events industry in ways none of us could have ever imagined, one thing has remained clear: our innate desire for human connection endures even in the most unprecedented circumstances.

Building an audience and engaging ticket buyers is critical to all creators’ success, and we believe creators will rely on these solutions more than ever once it’s safe for in-person events to once again resume. Today, we’re excited to share that we have acquired ToneDen, a self-service social marketing platform that empowers creators to build and monetize audiences. Since its founding in 2015, ToneDen has helped more than one million creators, businesses and brands increase their sales and maximize marketing returns through an intuitive yet robust platform.

Our research shows that 80% of Eventbrite creators identify marketing as a top need for their business. ToneDen has been a valuable partner to Eventbrite since 2017 when they joined the App Marketplace, and we’ve enjoyed working closely with their talented team over the past few years. The acquisition is effective immediately and we’re thrilled to officially welcome the ToneDen team, who will make a great addition to the Eventbrite culture.

We’re committed to supporting our creators and their business recovery, and do not expect this acquisition to have a material impact on our near term financial results. Joining forces with ToneDen will make us stronger, and together, we plan to build a comprehensive suite of tools to help creators connect with new and existing audiences and sell more tickets to their experiences.
