See Your Friends’ Events in Our Search Directory

It’s Saturday afternoon and you’re itching to get out of the house and do something. So, what do you do? You text your friends to see what they’re up to. We do the same thing when it comes to events — we ask our friends what events they’re going to, because it’s fun to go to events with people we know.

That’s why we’re excited to roll out a new feature this week that improves your search experience by letting you see where your friends are headed.

When you search for events on Eventbrite’s directory on, you’ll now see an additional tab for your Friends’ Events, listing the various upcoming events your friends have already registered for.

After you connect to Facebook, you’ll see the public events that your Facebook friends are attending in the directory. If your friends have set their social setting to “Private” or have not connected to Facebook, their events won’t show up here.

We first introduced this feature in 2010 on the My Tickets page to recommend events and see your friends’ events, only accessible to people who had previously purchased a ticket on Eventbrite. With this update, anyone can see the events their Facebook friends are attending when exploring the Eventbrite event directory.

This feature is currently available only on but we will be rolling it out to international sites in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
