Biography

Perhaps one of the most notorious rap bands to ever come out from the American underground is most certainly the Wu-Tang Clan. This American hip hop group hailed from Staten Island, New York City. It was originally composed of all East Cost big names in the hip hop industry: Masta Killa, U-God, Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Method Man, Ol' Dirty Bastard, GZA, and RZA.

In 2007, the gang got a new member, Cappadonna, who was previously a longtime collaborator. Regarded as one of the most influential hip hop groups in the long history of rap music, the Wu-Tang Clan released four studio albums and all four went platinum and gold.

Their first effort and probably their best, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), is still considered to be the greatest piece of art in hip hop history and most famous rappers named it as the most influential album that got them into rap music.

After the release of their debut album, the gang changed the rap game by introducing something more than music into their hip hop culture. They worked with and helped numerous groups and artists, supporting movements and spreading their ideology. If they have a show, you can get tickets here.
