Biography

Sum 41 is a rock band from Ajax, Ontario. Formed back in 1996, the award-winning band consists of five musicians: Deryck Whibley (lead vocals, lead and rhythm guitar, keyboard, occasional drums), Dave Baksh (backing vocals), Jason McCaslin (backing vocals, bass),Tom Thacker (lead and rhythm guitar, backing vocals, keyboard), and Frank Zummo (percussion, drums, occasional backing vocals).

In wasn’t until 2001 that Sum 41 reached international success. They released their debut album, No Killer No Filler, which reached platinum status, and topped the charts with hits such as “Fat Lip” and “In Too Deep”. Their sophomore album, Does This Look Infected? (2002), was just as successful, and their third album, Underclass Hero (2007), still remains Sum 41’s highest charting release.

Plenty more albums followed, each critically-acclaimed all over the world, and topping all the charts. The guys’ huge talents won them lots of awards and nominations, including two Juno Awards and one Grammy Award nomination.
