Biography

Modest Mouse was formed in the early 90s by guitarist and vocalist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy, and drummer Jeremiah Green. Their headquarters were in a shed were Brock lived, which became the space where they rehearsed, recorded demos and operated from.

Since their beginnings, the band’s had a unique sound, drawing influence from all over the punk and rock spectrum. They are heavily influenced by post-punk and alternative rock, and they list bands like Talking Heads and Pixies as one of the most influential.

Even though the band has been around for more than 20 years, they didn’t strike gold (well, actually platinum) until their forth studio album Good News for People Who Love Bad News, which came out in 2005.

They cemented their stardom with We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank in 2007, which was recorded with the legendary guitarist from The Smiths, and continued with Strangers to Ourselves in 2015. They are still haven’t reached their peak, and after all this time, they will still grow and develop as a band. Catch them live by booking your tickets today.
