Craig Schmidt is one of the most decorated, awarded and accomplished photographers in the nation holding the prestigious Master Of Photography from PPA, as well as Photographic Craftsman, Certified Professional Photographer, Approved Business Instructor, Approved Photographic Instructor and he holds PPA’s Certificate Of Business Management. Craig is active in PPA at all levels, serving from the local and state affiliate levels, all the way thru regional and national. Craig operates from a home studio in Bismarck, North Dakota photographing Weddings, Families, High School Seniors, Babies and Children.

One of Craig’s favorite things to do is to teach others the art and craft of professional photography.  He has had the distinction of speaking at PPA’s National Convention several times and was a 2005 recipient of the Director’s Award, the highest award given for volunteer service to PPA. Craig is also the winner of PPA’s National Award for distinguished service to PPA Affiliates. Craig as served on Boards and Committees, including PPA Nominating committee an unprecedented 3 terms. On PPA’s Business Initiative Committee Craig was instrumental in developing and teaching business courses to photographers. He has served on the PPA Council, the Northern Light Regional Board of Directors, regional and state convention chair, and is past president of the Professional Photographers of North Dakota, the Northwest Professional Photographers Association, and has taught at numerous professional photography affiliates all across the country.

Craig is active in his church and community. He currently serves as Craig is currently an Elder and Chairman of Grace Lutheran Brethren Church of Bismarck, President of the Board of Directors of Noah’s Ark Day Care in Bismarck; he has served on the Board of Directors of the Bismarck Mandan Chamber of Commerce and is active as a Bible Study Leader, teacher, preacher, usher, etc.
