The Carbon Connections programme was set up with backing from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to seek out and invest in carbon reduction innovation. Using a partnership model, Carbon Connections aims to encourage UK universities and Higher Education Institutes to engage with commercial organisations. Knowledge transfer is key to a Carbon Connections project as well as carbon reduction, innovation and, ultimately, sustainability.
